THE ARTIST (Leslie Valiant - the VALIANT in Valiant Creative)

With almost ten years of marketing experience, I am excited to provide my clients with knowledge from many different industries and perspectives. As my professional career began in private marketing, I became more and more interested in small business growth As a result, my career has evolved into the self-sustaining proprietorship you see before you: Valiant Creative.

I understand the importance of getting to know your marketing professional. Therefore, below are more facts about me.

EDUCATION: Purdue University - West Lafayette, IN 1998
B.A. Communication with concentration in Advertising, A.S. Computer Graphics Technology

HOBBIES & INTERESTS: I obviously like graphic design! In addition, I am a big sports junky! I've always been a big fan of basketball. More recently, I have enjoyed playing tennis, biking, and golfing. I love to watch football; particularly the Purdue Boilermakers, and I really dig going to a baseball game on a hot summer's night.

I love the sound of a symphony with a full set of strings, a lone saxophone playing the blues, or a male tenor singing Sinatra. Big fan of musicals / broadway productions. I like to wander the halls of most any art museum and I LOVE most types of music. My favorite music comes in the form of jazz or classical but I also have some favorite rock bands like Lifehouse, Nickelback, Creed, and Dave Matthews, and individual artists like Michael Buble and Norah Jones. When I'm working on a website or a marketing piece, I've got something playing in iTunes like Dvorak, Mozart, or Chopin to help me relax and concentrate.

WHAT AM I READING? I enjoy reading very much but rarely have time. I've been reading Mommy Wars by Leslie Morgan Steiner and Quiet Strength by Tony Dungy. I'm also a sucker for design mags like HOW and PRINT.

WHAT AM I WATCHING? Some days all I watch is cartoons - becuase I have two small kids - but when I get a hold of the remote I like to watch The Office, Friday Night Lights, and all five hundred twenty cop shows that you can find on primetime TV.
